PLEASANTDALE GARDEN CLUB MEETINGS & PROGRAMS
2023-2024_MEETING YEAR
All Member & Board Meetings will be held at
the Pleasantdale Park District Building,
7425 South Wolf Road, Burr Ridge, unless otherwise noted.
Member meetings begin at 10:00 a.m. with a social hospitality time of coffee and culinary treats prepared by our members, followed by our business meeting and the scheduled programs below.

Program: Holiday Floral Arrangement Demonstration by Noel Luchinski

Program: Member Holiday Grab Bag & Cookies
Each participating member is asked to bring a $15 gift wrapped new item relating to pampering yourself. Items like lotions, facial masks, foot soaks, chocolates or wine are just some examples. We will play a fun grab bag game!
Members are also asked to bring 2 dozen home baked cookies. One dozen should be wrapped on a paper plate which will be gathered together and given to residents at a local retirement home. The other dozen will be set on our treat table for the members to share and enjoy. Please wrap them separately.

Every member attending is asked to bring a food dish item to share with others and to bring any needed serving utensils.

Learn about the different types of rain gardens, the engineering basics, and a list of plants.

Program: Gardening for a Lifetime: How to Garden Wiser as You Grow Older by Marilyn Joyner, Horticulture Therapy certified

Program: Succulents: Indoors and Outside by Cindy Tyley, owner of Carriage House Garden Design.
Learn about the hot new trends of succulent plants.
